How to Make Green Beer
For St. Patrick's day,
this tradition is not only fun,
but incredibly easy.
[edit] Steps
- Purchase some beer.
- Purchase some green food coloring.
- Place 4-6 drops of food coloring in one normal sized beer (341-355ml).
- Stir lightly.
- Enjoy!
[edit] Tips
- It may be a bit difficult to add food coloring to a beer. Try adding a few drops to an empty glass or mug and then add the beer.
- Try to purchase lighter ale, as dark beer, such as Guinness, will make it harder for the food coloring to be noticeable.
- Perhaps put fewer drops of blue coloring, as beer is generally a yellow color. This is not confirmed to work, but is worth a try.
- This is a great drink to serve on St. Patrick's Day!
- Note that most Irish people think this is a silly American thing to do for Saint Patrick's Day and don't actually drink green beer.
[edit] Warnings
- Drink responsibly!
- Don't drink and drive! We always recommend letting a sober friend do the driving for you, even if that "friend" is really a cab driver.
