How to Make Homemade Teething Biscuits

Biscuits and other crackers tend to be more expensive in a store than other toddler snacks. There is a way to make your own hearty bread for the little one.

Note: This recipe contains instructions for a slow heating oven. You may need to change the temperature and/or timing to your discretion.

Makes 20 biscuits

  • Crusts from 5 slices of stale bread

  1. Pre-heat your oven to 250 degrees F.
  2. Break the crusts into small lengths or "fingers".
  3. Scatter the crust pieces on a baking sheet.
  4. Place the baking sheet in the oven for an hour.
  5. Wait until the pieces are hard and dry.
  6. Cool the pieces and store in an airtight container.
