How to Make It Through The Rocky Horror Picture Show

Welcome, welcome. So, it seems we have a Rocky Horror virgin. Please do not take the word "virgin" offensively. It simply means you have yet to go to a Rocky Horror Show! Yes, there are such things! At a Rocky Horror Picture Show, you sit in the audience and not only watch actors/actresses take part in the actual film, but you, yourself, are able to get involved as an audience member!

[edit] Steps

  1. Bring props to go along with different scenes of the show. Some of which include: rice, water guns, newspaper, toast, cards, and rubber gloves.
  2. Learn the Time Warp! The song basically tells you what to do..step by step..so it really isn't that hard. Plus, it's a blast!
  3. Dress up! Go crazy! Some people even have identical wardrobe to those in the movie!
  4. HAVE FUN!! This show is not meant to just be viewed.. you are part of it! Everybody is there for the same reason... to have fun!

[edit] Tips

  • Watch the movie first. It will help you understand a whole lot more.
  • Open your mind
  • Don't worry about how "foolish" you look. You came to have fun, and everybody is used to it!
  • Don't shout out "catch phrases" from the movie every single chance you get. Yes, people yell "slut" at Janet, but not every-single time she comes on! That gets obnoxious.

[edit] Warnings

  • You may have to take part in various embarrassing "games" to be initiated if you are a "virgin".
  • Be prepared to use your newspaper during 'Over At The Frankenstein Place'.
