How to Make a Comic on Flash
If you've ever wanted to draw a comic on Flash, but had each one turn out a different size, this article's for you. Drawing comics on Flash is really simple and easy when you learn how. Follow these easy steps to find out.
[edit] Steps
- Find an image of a comic strip You can grab a picture from comics.com or something and remove the things that say like "© Company/Dist. By Syndicate 2008" and everything else like that and put a white square in the box. Once you have the image, you can go to Flash (You can also make the boxes on Flash, but this way you can call it up without doing much).
- Make a symbol over the comic strip that is only a black square with no filling over the squares on the image. Drawn inside the square(s).
- Use the text button. Find a font to convey what they are saying. If it's in black and white, draw a line to it, if its in color, draw a talking, thinking or bam bubble so the color wont interfere. Color it white in on the inside.
- Make a Print Screen (PrtScr key on a keyboard), and go to MS Paint.
- Go to Edit > Paste Now the picture will be you're screen. Save the picture as a GIF. so it will make the little dots, but if it's a "Sunday Strip", save it a JPEG so the color will be more high-quality.
- Go to the folder and edit the picture with image editing software such as GIMP, Adobe Photoshop, or Corel PaintShop.
- Publish the comic.
[edit] Things You'll Need
- Adobe Flash
- A tablet (You don't really need one because Flash automatically makes the smoothness. But a tablet gives it more of a "drawn with a pencil" look.)
