Hi there! My name is Anna and I am an English teacher from the Midlands in the UK. In my spare time I like to go for long walks with my husband and my black labrador, Holly. It is pretty quiet in our village, and we like it that way! Having lived in towns and cities, we now appreciate the village existence - there's almost no crime here, and sitting outside in our back garden on a Summer's evening, all we hear are children playing, birds and the occasional sheep.
We love holidaying in the British Isles - particularly in Cornwall where both our sets of parents live, and in Derbyshire - a mere hour and a half from where we live. We also like to travel. Recently to Scandinavia - four countries in two weeks. It was a bit of a marathon but fab. We are off to NZ to visit my brother and his wife this summer.
I am passionate about teaching, the English language and my garden. I loathe bigotry and prejudice in all its forms and will challenge it where I see it.
